Lithgow’s premier basketball team started strongly but found themselves down 34-28 at half time.

However the main break did wonders for the home side as they hit a hot streak to steal the lead and stretch the gap to as many as 21 points in the final quarter.

A highlight was the performance of young Kobe Hunter who hit some well timed baskets to finish with 7 points. Michael Cox also drained a couple of buckets early to score 12 points in the first half.

Kurt Northey also played an important role rebounding and maintaining possession for the Lazers. 

The first half was a scrappy affair as the Lazers had problems with their chemistry on the court plus some leaky defence. This was offset with a few solid plays. 

The Lazers went into halftime feeling positive despite being down on the scoreboard. The coaches talked about putting the ball through hands to set up good offensive plays and the team put this into practice perfectly when they went back onto the Court.

Once the team took the lead, they did not look back in the fact taking the third Quarter 36 to 19.

This come back was entirely due to playing as a team in defence and offence.

The top Scorers for Lazers were Addison Flynn with 33 points and Michael Cox with 26 points.

The Lazers are at home again this Saturday. They will play the Hawkesbury Jets at 6pm at the Lazerdome.
