Lithgow councillor and police sergeant Darryl Goodwin will enter the boxing ring on Saturday night for the annual PCYC Time4Kids fundraiser.

He will face off against fellow police officer constable Blake Stanley at the boxing gala at the Lithgow Civic Ballroom.
The inaugural Jeremy Fittler Memorial Shield will also be contested on the night.
PCYC assistant manager Nikki Wells said the shield was introduced as part of an effort to raise awareness in the community.
“Were implementing programs at our facility to try and get young men primarily between the ages of 20-35 into our club just to go hang out and talk,” Ms Wells said.
PCYC has many talented youth that train in our facility, we are proud to have two of our youth fighters Jye Smith and Ryan O'Donnell representing our local community.

Two of Lithgow PCYC’s junior members will also have the chance to showcase their boxing abilities.

Other youth amateur boxers from as far as Sydney and Dubbo will travel to Lithgow for the night.
Kevin Large of Kandos will also fight at the event fresh from his silver medal at the National Boxing Championships. He will be joined by his brother Lachlan.
‘Real-deal’ exhibition fighters under the Australian Boxing Association banner will add some star power to the gala and display some quality boxing for the crowd.
PCYC is celebrating 65 years of operation in Lithgow and is looking to raise to continue providing new and exciting programs and activities for the young people in the local area.
The PCYC Boxing Gala will commence at 5pm on Saturday night. Food and beverages will be available at the canteen. There will also be live entertainment as well as face painting and activities for the kids.
