The free trials have been organised by the Lithgow junior hockey working group and will take place at the Lithgow hockey complex.
The younger age group play Minkey hockey on a smaller modified field. The sessions will run from 5-6pm on Tuesday March 28 and the Tuesdays of April 4 and 11.
"Hockey is a wonderful family sport which is played from ages five to veterans, it combines hand eye coordination & agility. It is great for both boy's & girls,” said Ben Kelly, one of the Minkey coordinators for 2017.
There will also be some hockey sticks available at the sessions.
On Tuesday April 11 there will be a free BBQ for kids.
