The Gunners came out firing, with red hot defence and some outstanding three point shooting.
Canberra managed to down 14 three pointers in the game, with Lithgow only scoring two.
Lithgow simply could not match the intensity of the Gunners who continued to play hard for the whole game.
For the Lazers, Addison Flynn top scored with 30 points and John Fenton chimed in with 11.
Flynn and Fenton never stopped trying to ignite their team mates, but unfortunately it was not to be.
The Lazers will be looking to get their season back on track with a double-header this weekend.
Their first assignment will be at home at the Lithgow Lazerdome against the Illawarra Hawks on Saturday.
This will be followed by the return fixture at Sutherland on Sunday.
In 2016, women in Lithgow were able to play social basketball.
Lithgow Basketball hopes to continue this, and is currently calling for players to join us and have some fun and fitness.
