Landowners, stakeholders and the wider community are encouraged to have their say on the development.
Announcing the workshop, mayor Stephen Lesslie said residents will be able to provide important information on how the area should develop.
“I encourage as much of our community as possible to become involved through attendance at the workshops or by providing feedback directly to council officers or our consultants,” Cr Lesslie said.
Council and the consulting firm hired for the development, Oculus, have commenced work on the “blueprint” for the future development, and now want your say.
“The landowners and local community know this area very well and can provide important input into how this area should develop over time as Lithgow’s next growth area,” Cr Lesslie said.
This is an opportunity for the Lithgow community to tell council what they think to help guide the vision and master planning options for the area.
What sort of place Marrangaroo could be in the future? What are the things that make a strong community? What would attract people to the area? What character and feel should the area create? What important features of the site should be retained?
