It was a busy weekend for the many Lions Club members who were in town on the weekend, the standout event being a convention dinner at the Lithgow Workmen’s Club.
The dinner was marked with tradition and ceremony, as the night kicked off with an addressing of the haggis, presented to the club by the club’s head chef, Tim Standing.
New mayor Stephen Lesslie was in attendance and, as part of an official letter published in the convention’s program, thanked the club members for their contribution to the Australian community.
President of Lithgow Lions Club Inc. John Edwards would like to thank District Governor Roger Thomas for his efforts and all the local major sponsors.
