Anne Doohan completed her term as President and her place has been taken by Judi Moore.
The Lady Golfers thank Anne for her commitment over the past 3-and-a-half years.
Other positions filled were Vice President – Anne Doohan, Secretary – Marie Hackett, Captain – Lynne Ritchie, Treasurer – Di McGuire and Committee – Pat Livermore and Trish Beljon.
During the three months from June to August only six competition events were played due to either the inclement weather or the extremely wet condition of the golf course.
Even though our Lithgow course is extremely wet our local golfers should be feeling lucky as they haven’t suffered the plight of some of our western neighbours, whose courses have been severely affected by flooding.
Last Wednesday a stableford event was played and the winner, fresh from her holiday overseas, was Fran Le Fevre with 34 points.
First Division winner was Judy Charman on a count back from Lynne Ritchie.
There have been a number of changes to the golfing program with the major one being the Ladies Foursomes Championships which have been postponed until October 26 – November 2.
Commencing on Saturday September 17, the draw for play will take place with names entered at 10am, a change from the 9am time slot previously advised.
This will be trialed for a couple of months in an effort to attract more players on Saturdays.
