The singing started with “You Are My Sunshine” with a lot of other old time favourites like “How Much Is That Doggie in the Window?” to “She’ll Be Coming Round the Mountain” charming the audience.
Maestro Andy conducted the singing performance and also the stories that came from the participants in between songs.
Residents, along with students from LPS, have been creating friendships and testing their vocal chords during this time in preparation for the performance.
Every Monday, residents and their student buddies sang from the same song sheet under the guidance of a “maestro”.
The program, created by The Arts Health Institute, gives aged care residents a chance to form friendships with primary school students and gets them engaged with the local community.
