It was a triumphant weekend for the boys winning all three of their games.
The boys played well utilising their set moves, zone defence and fast breaks.
Coach David Lincoln was very happy with the boys’ performance and said they improved with each game.
Versus Dubbo Rams: Lithgow’s enjoyed a convincing 104-20 win over the Dubbo Rams with the top scorers being Tom Pottinger (26), Mitch Gurney (21) and Hayden Cox (18).
Hayden Wittingslow, Tallis Flynn and Finn Galloway were great under the basket with strong rebounds owning the board in all three games.
Austyn Lincoln was great in defence as always with assistance from Kye Wilson.
Versus West Wyalong: The tall West Wyalong side put up better resistance and it was neck and neck right up until the last quarter when Lithgow found their momentum and edged away for a 70-44 victory.
Top scorers were Mitchell Gurney (19), Austyn Lincoln (13) with Tom Pottinger and Hayden Cox on 12 points each.
Versus Bathurst Gold: In the boys’ final game Lithgow played Bathurst Gold and again it was all Lithgow in a runaway 119-29 win.
It was another great team performance with everyone showing they have the potential to go all the way this year.
Top scorers were Mitch Gurney (25), Kye Wilson (19) and Hayden Cox (18).
Hayden Wittingslow and Finn Galloway were both strong in defence while Tallis Flynn was strong under the basket with his rebounds sending Austyn Lincoln and Tom Pottinger away with the fast breaks.
The boys took a lot of confidence away with their three wins.
All the players have improved their skills under the hard work of coach David Lincoln and their teamwork was excellent for this time of the year.
The boys hit the road next month on March 20, when they travel to Griffith for round two.
