The group boasted a host of state and district basketballers from an era when Lithgow was one of the strongholds of the sport.
There were thousands of baskets scored between them for Lithgow district with their respective sides thrilling the local crowds at the McWilliams Wines basketball tournaments Lithgow hosted on the June long weekend and was so big back in those years.
At the reunion was basketball icon Peter ‘Magoo’ who coached many of these players.
Many brought along paper clippings, magazines and books on the history of basketball that displayed all the state players from past years.
There were plenty of baskets and beers ‘sunk’ during the afternoon making for a great afternoon.
A further reunion has been planned in the years to come.
