Taking the reins is Robert Keady, formerly principal at St Patrick’s School in Griffith.
Mr Keady brings 38 years of teaching experience and an attitude of both dedication and service to the role.
Teaching runs in the family, with his wife and two daughters choosing it as their profession.
Mr Keady also has a son who is currently undertaking a masters in exercise physiology.
“I’ve found Lithgow to be a very welcoming town.
“Everyone, including staff, students and the parish, have been very warm, unlike the weather,” he said.
Mr Keady’s approach will be pupil centred, with a focus on creating not just great students, but great citizens.
His job has been made easier by his predecessor, and he was very impressed with the order of things when he took up the position.
“I’d like to give credit to Pam Haddin, things were all very well placed when I arrived and the transition ran very smoothly,” he said.
Mr Keady is looking forward to discovering everything the Lithgow area has to offer as he adapts to his new role.
