Mini Paws Animal Rescue Care is having an open day this Saturday where you can find out more about adopting or fostering an animal which has been surrendered to this non-profit organisation.
The open day will be held at 41 Maple Crescent and you can have a chat to someone from the organisation and also view animals from the rescue.
Foster carers and the founder and director Rachelle Murray will be available to talk to.
Mini Paws Animal Rescue is looking for people to help as foster carers or to adopt a pet.
With a commitment to saving lives and with a “no kill” policy, Mini Paws takes animals surrenders from people who can no longer take care of them.
It is bringing some dogs and cats along to the open day which are available for adoption or to be fostered.
To be a foster carer you just need to feed the animal until it is permanently re-homed.
Anyone interested in adoption should note that Mini Paws is a responsible rescue.
All animals are de-sexed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, are treated for worms and fleas and come with a lifetime register.
Adopting an animal involves paying a price for the pet to cover these veterinary costs.
The open day will also be educational for pet owners who can learn about the benefits of de-sexing along with tips for looking after animals and help with behavioural situations.
A barbecue will be available along with face painting and a raffle of pet products to raise much needed funds for the organisation.
The day starts at 10am and will finish up at around 3pm.
The organisation will not be taking surrenders on the day.
Currently it is at its full capacity of animals.
Mini Paws Animal Rescue always needs a helping hand, whether it be with fostering an animal or to give us a donation of food, toys, bedding, old sheets, towels and blankets.
