A man allegedly found passed out at a Lithgow fast food restaurant at 2.55am has been charged with drug possession.

Staff at the Great Western Highway restaurant contacted police at 2.55am on Friday, July 27 because two men were asleep on the premises and could not be woken up.
Police were able to wake the two men and they were searched. Police allege one of the men, a 27-year-old, had cannabis in his pocket. He was charged with possession of a prohibited drug and will face Lithgow Local Court at a later date.
Drink driving
A 33-year-old man was charged with low-range drink driving in Lithgow on Thursday night, July 26.
The man was pulled over for speeding on the Great Western Highway, South Bowenfels, at 8.25pm and returned a positive breath test. He was taken to Lithgow Police Station and a breath analysis was taken.
He will face Lithgow Local Court.

About 7.30am on Sunday, July 22, police attempted to stop a vehicle travelling at high speed along the highway at Woodford.
The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit commenced, but was called off at Lawson due to the offending driver’s dangerous driving.
About 9.35am on the same day, the vehicle was found abandoned on Hughes Avenue at Lawson.
“The vehicle was displaying false registration plates. Further checks identified the true registration and confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen three days earlier,” Blue Mountains Police Detective Chief Inspector Dietmar Almer said.
“Police located several items of interest inside the vehicle, including a balaclava.”
Police are in the process of forensically examining the vehicle and several exhibits.
Police are appealing for witnesses and urge anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the driver and passenger/s to contact Springwood Police Station on 4751 0299 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
