While there is real achievement in gaining a championship ribbon, the art and craft section welcomes all comers. It showcases painting, drawing, sculpture and more.
Watercolour artist Annie Joseph will be judging the adults’ fine art section in 2018.
“We expect some really good quality works,” Heather said.
While acrylics and watercolours had become very popular in recent years, Heather said she would love to see more oil works at the Show.
Schools have traditionally been active in the art section, participating in colour-in competitions as well as creating their own displays.
There are lots of fun categories in which kids can participate, including Lego building.
“We try to encourage them not to build from the package, but to use their imagination and be a bit creative with it,” Heather said.
Art entries need to be in by 6pm on Wednesday, March 14 at the Lithgow showground ballroom. All works must be less than 3m in length and be ready to be hung.
Schedules for the Show, including information on the different sections, are now available online.
