Work will commence Monday, February 19 and the reconstruction of the raised pedestrian crossing is scheduled to be completed in four weeks before traffic can return to normal.
Lithgow City Council project engineer Elias Shirt had previously told the Lithgow Mercury that the one-way traffic would not take place until March.
Parking on both sides of Main Street will remain.
Pedestrian access to properties and businesses will be maintained during the project.
Contractoring staff from CA&I will advise of any necessary disruption as the project progresses. It is expected to be complete in April.
