To provide senior members of the community with some insight into the requirements of our changing world, the Lithgow Library Learning Centre is hosting Telstra Tech Savvy Seniors classes on Thursday mornings.
The classes will be held over 14 weeks and are spread across the libraries in Lithgow, Portland and Wallerawang.
“Previous sessions of Tech Savvy Seniors were very popular and highlighted that internet use and computer literacy are important and essential skills in our society. The classes will provide a gateway for seniors who feel overwhelmed by technology,” Lithgow City Council Mayor Stephen Lesslie said.
Classes range from introduction to the internet and social media, to smartphones and online shopping and banking.
To assist participants to become comfortable using the skills taught in the class, we request that you bring your own device. Bookings are essential.
For more information about the sessions and to make a booking please contact the Lithgow Library on 6352 9100. You can also find the program on the library website or Facebook page.
