Lithgow High School is celebrating the success of its Year 12 students receiving their Higher School Certificate results on Thursday, December 14.

The school received nine Band 6 results (more than 90 out of 100) in a wide range of subjects. There were also 66 Band 5 results.

Mrs Caro, Principal of Lithgow High School said she was delighted with this year’s strong HSC results.

“We have seen some outstanding results in the 2017 HSC,” she said. 

“It is a testament to all of the hard work undertaken by the students and staff with the support of their families. 

“Our distinguished achievers have always had a tireless work ethic, and have spent many hours preparing, practising and studying for their HSC and fully deserve the results they have achieved.

“Congratulations to all our students who achieved early entry into their chosen university courses and have been selected in apprenticeships.

“This recognises our students’ abilities and dedication. It is great to see we are producing well rounded students that are sought by institutes and employers.

“The staff of Lithgow High School congratulates all Year 12 2017 and wish them the best for their future.”

The Year 12 cohort has achieved outstanding results across all courses, a culmination of six years of dedication to their studies, and the school is extremely proud of their success.

The school focus over the past three years has been on raising academic standards with the implementation of additional Senior Tuition, and the 2017 Year 12 group has achieved highly.
