Two of Australia’s top sporting identities will be at the Wallerawang Community & Sports Club’s 2017 Sportsman’s Dinner on Saturday evening.

Former Australian lawn bowls representative Steve Glasson and former professional rugby league star Steve “Blocker” Roach will appear as guest speakers on the night.
Both men are known to tell a few tales and they will have plenty of experiences to draw on from their illustrious careers.
Steve Glasson is arguably Australia’s greatest ever male lawn bowler. He has won in excess of 100 events, including 19 Australian championships and the national indoor title on nine occasions.
In 2004 Glasson was crowned the number one bowler in the world after winning the World Outdoor Championship.
He has represented his country on more than 300 occasions including twice at the Commonwealth Games.
Roach was an aggressive and powerful prop forward for the Balmain Tigers in the 1980s and early 90s.
He also represented his NSW and Australia on multiple occasions.
Roach has since made his home in the commentary box and currently lends his voice to games on Fox Sports.
The sports club will also announce their sporting personality of the year at the dinner.
Other attractions include auctions and raffles. Entertainment will be provided by the central west musical duo Momentum.
The Sportsman’s Dinner will get underway at 5.30pm on Saturday, November 25. The courtesy bus will be available on the night.
