The event teams up some local faces with dance schools for the ultimate dance off, to be held at the Civic Ballroom on Saturday, November 4.
Tickets are available now.
The participants include councillors, a personal trainer, newspaper editor, real estate agent and a post office owner.
The night will see local personalities joined with dance instructors to learn a routine while fundraising in support of people in the greater Lithgow region affected by cancer.
“We are looking forward to joining in the fun for a great cause,” Lithgow Mercury editor Kirsty Horton said.
The line-up for the first year event includes Lithgow Shire Councillor, etiquette coach and hairdresser Maree Statham; Councillor Cassandra Coleman; Kayler Gatt owner of Y.O.U Fitness; Lithgow Mercury editor Kirsty Horton; Shelley Schwarz owner of Wallerawang Post Office and Gifts; and Graham Hodson, principal agent of Richardson and Wrench.
“This is our first Dance For Cancer event in the Lithgow area and we are very excited for what will be a fun, glitzy, and dance-filled evening for a cause close to so many,” Cancer Council NSW Western Region spokesperson Bree Kelly said.
“We have some wonderful, community minded Lithgow and Wallerawang people being put through their paces with local dance instructors to compete in a fun night of dancing and entertainment.
“The stars are already out in the community fundraising and we hope local residents will get behind these brave Stars and Cancer Council NSW by sponsoring them and attending on the night.”
Tickets are available from www.123tix.com.au and include a two course meal and entertainment. You can sponsor a star by donating at https://www.everydayhero.com.au/event/starsoflithgow2017.
