The young emerging artist’s latest showing is titled Peel and the Ruin and is characterised by the pastel colours displayed throughout her previous work.
Ms Bucholtz grew up in Lithgow attending Zig Zag Primary and Lithgow High School.
She recently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Art School in Sydney.
Since completing her degree Ms Bucholtz has shown at gallery Factory 49, completed a drawing internship at the National Art school of Sydney and was invited to exhibit at the Saatchi and Saatchi office.
However her highlight to date is being awarded the Cill Rialaig Artist Residency in Ireland.
The residency offers artists, writers and other creative professionals an opportunity to spend two weeks entirely dedicated to their artistic practice in cottages overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Ms Bucholtz was excited to see a developing art scene in Lithgow and said she was looking forward to her first exhibition in her hometown.
Peel and the Ruin will officially open on Saturday, September 30 at 11am at the old original Zig Zag Brewery, 1B Brewery Lane, Lithgow.
This exhibition will be open both from 11am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday on the October long weekend.
