The car had sat abandoned in the carpark for two weeks. A witness contacted emergency services after seeing the car alight at about 2.50am.
The vehicle, a blue Magna, was fully engulfed when police and NSW Fire and Rescue arrived but there was no damage no any other property.
After it was extinguished, the fire crews found plastic under the car, which they believe could have been the ignition source.
Video of the incident was captured by Sam Risby, who provided the footage to the Lithgow Mercury.
