Club president Lesley Townsend handed over a $1500 donation to a very appreciative Toni Turner and Chris Milroy of the Lithgow City Band.
The funds will go towards new uniforms and instruments.
The Lithgow City Band has had a very colourful history. The troupe has existed for around 130 years and is currently recruiting brass players interested in touring the World War One Western Front.
Lithgow has always been proud of our local band and we hope this donation will help their continuing success.
Plenty of raffles were donated by club members with the major prize donated by Wendy Constable and the Spider Award sponsored by Beryl Evans.
The Millennium Room looked a picture with Wattle and greenery decorations. A big thank you goes out to Barbara Kapusta and her team on a job well done.
Thank you to the visiting clubs for making an effort to support this worthy cause.
Winners on the bowling green were Ken Wallace, Lyn Green and Karyn Mitchell. Runners-up were Ron Field, Irene Watkins and Judy Kennedy.
