Emily Watts, track cycling. In 2016 competed in NSW track champs, 3rd in 2000m individual pursuit. Selected NSW track champs in Tasmania. Also competed and performed well in triathlon. Performed at top levels in cycling, team and individual events.
International Sports Star Award:
Nigel Kable for campdraft.
Whitty Perpetual Trophy for best local achievement:
Shaqkyra Quinn: For her national, state and local representations.
Max Scott Memorial Trophy – All rounder of the Year award: Roxsanne Van Veen, cricket. Ten day cricket tour of India, representing all indigenous female cricket team. Player of tournament for NSW in Alice Springs.
Bunny Abbott Volunteer of the Year Award: Heidi Inwood for her work with touch football, playing, refereeing and organising.
Laurie Muir Official of the Year: Cheryl Rutherford for Hockey. Umpire, coach for NSW state champs and umpired women’s western premier league, junior and women’s competitions and coaching umpires.
Reg Cowden encouragement award to:
Eli Morris for his work in rugby league with Lithgow Storm, breastroke swimming, Lazers basketball team and referee work.
Junior Team Award:
Under 14 boys Lithgow Lasers basketball for, among other things, their NSW Country Champs, division 1 championships.
Senior Team Award:
Lithgow Panthers Hockey including their 2016 grand final, their 10th premiership.
