There will be road works carried out in Lithgow Street and at the intersection of Tank Street and Sandford Avenue.
In a statement, Lithgow City Council said the roadworks would be aiming to improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety.
The works are part of the Roads and Maritime Service’s Blackspot program which identifies locations at which a high numbers of accidents occur and provides funds for safety improvements.
The Lithgow Street works will occur at the Kirkland Link intersection and on Lithgow Street in the slip lane from Bent Street. The works involve the installation of pedestrian refuges, slip lanes and new street lighting.
The Macauley Street works will be at the intersection with Tank Street and Sandford Avenue. The works involve new line marking, kerb and guttering, and street lighting.
Council has warned that traffic conditions will change in these areas while they are carried out so caution and patience are necessary while travelling through the area.
