Owner of Anderson Surveyors, Steve was the winner of the Lithgow Mercury’s 2016 footy tipping competition.
Steve edged out 14 other businesses to take the win.
Having edged out the other participating business people to take the top honours, Steve was thrilled with his prize of two tickets to the NRL grand final, to be contested at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium on October 2.
This was no easy feat, as he had to defeat 14 other business people to secure the win.
It was an unpredictable year for tipsters with many upsets throughout the year, making Steve’s win all the more impressive.
Although the question of just who will be playing in the big game is yet to be answered, tickets to the highly coveted match are a winner no matter who takes to the field.
Only four teams remain and this weekend will see them battle it out for a spot in the final.
The North Queensland Cowboys will take on the Cronulla Sharks, while the Melbourne Storm will face off against the Canberra Raiders.
Sportsbet is currently looking in favour of a Cowboys Storm final – however at this end of the NRL season anything could happen.
