A 44-year-old Lithgow woman is in a critical condition after falling more than 30 metres down a cliff at Hassans Walls while bushwalking with family members and friends late on Tuesday afternoon.

The woman, Ms Donna Christie, was flown to Westmead Hospital after a 90 minute retrieval operation.
Ms Christie's young son was among the people with her at the time.
Lithgow Paramedics, Lithgow Volunteer Rescue Squad (VRA) members and Lithgow Police were all involved in the operation, and had to race against the rapidly approaching nightfall to complete the rescue
The badly injured woman was carried from the accident scene to a waiting ambulance by members of the Lithgow VRA.
A medical emergency team then commenced treating the woman on site before transporting her by Ambulance to the Lithgow Hospital heliport, where they were met by a waiting rescue helicopter.
Ms Christie is believed to have suffered serious head, spinal and chest injuries.
