All money raised from the day went towards a dialyses machine for the Lithgow District Hospital.
At the presentation, winning captain Ben Sheehan from the Cotton Runts donated the winning money back to the final total.
The captains from Lansdowne, the first grade runners up, second champions Cats and the Norms all did the same with the total getting a good injection.
The first division winners were Cotton Runts who defeated Lansdowne with the division featuring some big hitting.
The second grade title went to the young Cats team who were too ‘fresh’ for the older Norms.
Talk from the organisers was that the knockout could be shifted next year to Saturday to entice more teams to compete.
Those who did play really enjoyed themselves and it was good to see so many women and youngsters joining the ‘oldies’ like the Norms and Lansdowne who have been avid supporters of the knockout since its inception.
Thanks again to all the volunteers who helped out on the day.
