“I am extremely proud of the achievements made in 2013-2014 to help ensure the long-term sustainability of the Lithgow local government area” said Mayor Statham.
“Council continues to look at investment into infrastructure with a number of exciting projects commencing including the Wallerawang Black Bridge, Portland Sewerage Treatment Plant, Lithgow Aquatic Centre Indoor Pool and the Revitalisation of Main Street.
These projects will allow the Lithgow region to grow and develop into the future”.
Some of the highlights presented in the booklet include Hassans Walls, Bracey and Pearson’s Lookout upgrades making them accessible to everyone and providing quality tourism assets with world class views and information on their history and significance to our area.
Mayor Statham went on to say “I would like to extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to all of the community groups who partnered with Council, it is through your help and support that our community continues to develop and grow”.
The booklet, ‘A Year In Review 2013-2014’, is available for reading in various waiting rooms, businesses and cafés throughout the Lithgow Local Government Area. Copies are able to be downloaded from Council’s website www.council.lithgow.com or picked up from the Council Administration Centre and Libraries.
