Federal Member for Calare John Cobb has announced that sites at Blayney, Carcoar, Mandurama, Neville, Mt Panorama, Sunny Corner and Forbes had reached the build commenced stage.
“To add a further seven sites to the ones already up and running in Calare is fantastic, especially for residents of these smaller towns which haven’t had access to good internet services,” Mr Cobb said.
“The rollout is happening much faster than expected, and we’re certainly seeing the benefits in Calare.”
Several other towns in the Calare electorate are scheduled to get access to NBN over the next 12 months, with the worst serviced towns given priority.
Detailed maps showing the areas in Calare where construction has begun is available at www.nbnco.com.au.
