The first was between Isotopes and Raptors with the highlight being a massive home run hit by Harris Barrington that cleared the fence at its furtherest point.
Isotopes took the game 5-2 in a good encounter and along with Barrington, others to impress were Matt Tree, Michael Anderson and Derry Cluff.
For the Raptors, Luke Smith, Steve and Aaron Dellabosca and Tim Reeve were their best.
In the second game, defending premiers Lizards took a narrow 5-3 win after a slow start.
Lizards’ John Kearney, Tony Oldfield, Juzen Takahara and Ryan Kelly played well while Cougars’ best were Chris Kearney who made his comeback to baseball after being out injured for a lot of last season with Jackson Bostock and Jason Lane also playing well.
The good news is that if you are keen to play baseball, it is not too late to start.
Just roll up to the Wallerawang Lake Wallace baseball diamond on Sunday at 10am or turn up to baseball training of a Thursday at 4.30pm and you will be well looked after.
Persons wishing further information on baseball or how to get into a team can phone Joe Smith on 6355 1715.
