AFTER Red Sox brought down high flyers Pockets last week by a mere four points it gave them the confidence and impetus to vastly improve on their snooker efforts when they easily beat a lifeless Jiggers.

Outlaws put a huge effort in last week with an easy win but this week if it wasn’t for the first two games being blow outs Miscues might have had a chance of winning but Outlaws maintained an aggregate lead to win.
Tall Timbers made winning look easy with their game against Helmets who were fresh from their bye but played with stale ambition.
Welch’s Highway Smash Repairs Jiggers v C and W Printing Red Sox
Dave Adams played Jeff Stait, Adams settling down and playing really good snooker lately while Stait is always up there with the top players.
Adams had a 33 start and started out slowly but Stait eventually hit the lead.
Adams knuckled right down to sink most of the colours for a good 61-42 win.
Jiggers’ captain Greg Sutton played Trevor Cameron in a dour struggle that ended up with the black ball deciding the result.
Sutton maintained his lead with Cameron slowly pulling the lead back and then sunk the black for a 48-47 win.
Jamie Glencorse played John Lyons in a high scoring game.
Lyons had to catch 36 points and he did this fairly quickly.
Once in front Glencorse made a comeback but it was Lyons who sunk the black for a 78-68 win.
Wayne Lewis played Leigh Best with Lewis starting out well.
Half way through Best settled down making a 21 and 14 break and was closing in on Lewis.
Best came home strong to win 72-61.
Tom Capel played Garry Nolan with Nolan’s form not the best and Capel at this point running second in the Regal.
In a turnaround Nolan could not be stopped and went on to win 81-54.
Kyle Lewis played Red Sox captain Tom Gaynor with the game decided by a double black.
Lewis, like his brother the week before, sunk both the black and cue ball giving the game to Gaynor 61-54.
Red Sox won 6-1 and the best players were Garry Nolan and Dave Adams.
Exceltech Industrial Electronics Outlaws v Hunter Mining Methods Miscues
Peter Warner played Matt Tattersall in what was Warner’s best game to date in taking Tattersall to the cleaners.
Tattersall had a 20 start but offered no resistance as he only scored 13 points.
Warner scored two breaks of 27 and 23 to win 100-33.
Evergreen Leo Keeley played Kevin Slaven in another rout that saw Keely cruise to a 94-40 victory.
Shannon Baer played Dennis Goodwin who was coming off a hat-trick of losses, but turned fortunes around to win 69-41.
Michael Tonkin played Robert Farnsworth with Tonkin having to score 36 points to catch Farnsworth and he put a dent in this with a 26 break.
It was all Tonkin who won 88-44.
Michael Andrews played Miscues captain Brian Nightingale and this was the closest game between these two teams.
Nightingale had a 15 lead which was soon eliminated when Andrews scored a 22 break and Nightingale also score a handy 15 break which was to help as he scraped home 53-51.
Outlaws captain Terry Christian played Ritchie Bilby with Bilby too good winning 61-39.
Outlaws won 4-3 and the best players were Peter Warner and Ritchie Bilby.
Carpet One Tall Timbers v Lithgow Valley Storage Helmets
Mitch McCosker played Dianne Stait with Stait playing well and scoring a well put together 18 break, but it was McCosker who won 50-45.
Leon Rust played Helmets captain Sandra Chadwick who was fresh back from an ocean cruise and ready to go.
Chadwick had the chance to win when she sunk the black, but unfortunately, also the white to give the game to Rust 56-50 leaving Chadwick heard to blame her sea legs.
Brett Thorpe played Ian Miles with Thorpe scoring breaks of 18 and 23 and go on to win 68-30.
Joe Steffen played Tom Drury with Steffen arguably the competition’s best putting Drury into the 100 club when he won 102-50.
Peter Richards played Brett Bradley in a good spectacle.
Bradley made a quick fire 20 which was enough for to beat Richards 63-55.
Nick Bender played Dallas Thurlow with Thurlow standing tall to take the match 61-37 win.
Tall Timbers won 5-2 and the best players were Joe Steffen and Dallas Thurlow.
