Once again the round was played in freezing conditions.
Zig Zag Black tied with Workies Club Gold nil all: Although there were no goals scored, it was a very exciting encounter.
Both keepers had great games, stopping everything that was hit at them.
Tiarne Newham had a strong game ably backed by Olivia Thurtell for Workmens Club.
Allison Mills put in a huge effort with Lasey Chew and Kim Moss also having a great game.
Lansdowne Jays defeated Zig Zag Red 4-nil: Lansdowne’s top scorers Lyndal Marshall and Tayla McLean both scored a brace of goals and were two of their team’s best.
They had good support from Dara Rushworth, Hilary Pilbeam and Erin Trudgett who all put in huge efforts.
For Ziggies, Jess Offner, Rhiannon Walding and Tegan Walsh all played well with Beck Rich in goals having a top game.
Zig Zag Blue defeated Hot Shots 2-1: This was a good even game with the ball being distributed around the field by both teams.
Zig Zag’s Kim and Abby Wilson had great games and Sam Dean added plenty of strike power.
Hot Shots’ goalie Jamie Robson had a blinder with Jackie Phillips good in defence and Brittney Alcott also strong.
Scorers for Zig Zag Blue were Nicole McFadden and Kim Wilson.
Hot Shots lone scorer was Josannna Stockdale.
Workmens Club Blue defeated Cruizers 4-1: Workies were too strong for Cruizers with their outstanding teamwork proving the difference.
For the Cruizers, Kloe Mannering, Netty Tolhurst and Jenny Dawson had great games with good defence keeping Workies score down.
For Workies the consistent Tammy Barber, Robyn Miller and Lanie Holmes were outstanding.
Workmens Club Blue’s scorers were Tammy Barber (2), Jessica Dick and Jenny Newcombe.
Cruizers’ lone goal went to Katrina Miller.
