WORKIES Wolves under 18 players continued their impressive form with a hard fought 12-4 win over Bathurst St Patricks and consolidated second place on the Group 10 competition ladder.

It was tough conditions for rugby league with icy, strong winds blowing down the Luchetti Sportsground making life difficult for all, particular fullbacks.
At half time, the Wolves enjoyed a narrow 6-4 lead and then shut out their opposition in the second half to score six unanswered points to take the game 12-4.
It was a good team effort that would have pleased coach Ross Harrington with the standouts being Wayde Egan whose kicking game in the strong wind was exceptional with good support coming from Darcy Allan, Matt Swift and Sam Rushworth.

First division
Workies continue to stay in the top five even after losing to the second placed St Pats 20-12.
There was not much between the two sides although St Pats made the best of their opportunities.
Workies had a number of good chances, but could not convert their efforts into points.
Brad Pender, Josh Howarth, Kip Maranda, Brad Cornell and Ben Glasson stood out.

Oz league
It was always going to be a tough match against St Pats who boast a very good side, but the Wolves’ girls showed their attack was every bit as good as their opposition, scoring some superb tries.
They went down 32-24 with their defence letting them down.
Mallory Goodman again led the way for the Wolves scoring two tries.
Other standouts were Kirsty Willmott, Chrissy West and Jenna Heath.
