THE list of quality candidates for this year’s Lithgow Council elections continues to grow with the announcement of the two teams being nominated by the Lithgow and District Community Forum Group.

With these added to the group and individual nominees already announced, the field of candidates is shaping up as the strongest in many years.
The forum yesterday announced its two teams, one headed by Portland businesswoman and community worker Maree Statham and the other by Lithgow businessman Frank Inzitari.
Mrs Statham’s fellow team members are:
ROSS HIGLETT: Wallerawang resident and businessman.
Until recently he and his wife Kerrie operated R and K Gas Supplies in Lithgow.
They currently operate R and K Workwear in Lithgow.
JUSTIN COOMBES-PEARCE: A long term resident of the Central West working in radio.
Joined the staff of radio 2LT and 107.9 FM in 2009.
SUE BANNING: A resident of Marrangaroo, she grew up in the local area and after graduating from university worked as a teacher in the Hunter Valley for 35 years, retiring as deputy principal of Mt View High.
MAX NIGHTINGALE: A former manager of the Lithgow Commonwealth Bank he is currently financial manager for Lithgow City Holden and Toyota.
He won the world and Australian left handed golf titles as highlights of his sporting career.
The other team, headed by Frank Inzitari, includes:
PETER PILBEAM: A member of an Orange family with farming and rural machinery interests he is a resident of Lithgow and employed as a senior locomotive driver with Pacific National Railways.
He is on the executive of the local branch of the National Party.
ANNA IUS:Comes from a family with a long association with the mining industry.
A widowed mother of three grown up children she has been the manager of Millers fashions in Lithgow since 1998.
KATHY DICKSON: With her husband Rob, established a dental laboratory in the Blue Mountains in 1983.
Relocated their home and business to Lithgow in 1996.
She is also a director of the Family First Credit Union and holds a Diploma in Financial Services.
FRANK CAPOMOLLA:Born in Lithgow into a family that operated a popular fruit shop in the east end.
A qualified builder he operates his own building and concreting business in the local area.
