Parents struggle to find things for their children to do due to the cold weather and lack of organised activities.
This is not the case for the children who have been attending the Vacation Centre at Cooerwull School under the guidance of Theresa Lynch and James Turner.
In fact, there is not enough time in the day for their activities which have included a boot camp, a Shrek marathon, a drama workshop, attend the Wizard of Oz production, a rainbow day, a PJs and pamper day, a cooking and camping day, Christmas in July and a disco day along with other fun activities.
When the Mercury photographer visited the centre, they were enjoying their PJs and Pamper Day with all the children coming to the centre in their pyjamas.
During the day, they were pampered with hair designing, had their nails painted, applied make up and a whole host of things to make them feel that little bit special.
“We all liked the PJs day, it was real easy to get ready this morning,” Allirah Northey said
“We just hopped out of bed in our pyjamas, had a wash, had our breakfast and we were ready.
“And when we got home we did not have to get ready for bed.”
The children reported a great time at the Vacation Centre with the organisers joining in the fun making for a very special holiday.
