Trevor was for several years the proprietor of the Angus and Roberston bookshop in Lithgow but since his retirement has been a man on a mission tackling litter problems along the urban sections of highway at his end of town, at Bowenfels.
He told council during the public forum that not enough was being done to tackle the litter problem, which he said was aggravated by weed growth on footpaths and roadside blackberries.
Mr Sheaves said much of the litter came from fast food outlets along the strip.
He said that day’s collection had come from around Robinia Drive.
