The event was a two ball multiplier with the "early bird" winners being Greg Guest (11) and Ross Harrington (9) who combined for an excellent total of 89 points - a score that was not headed throughout the day.
Both golfers contributed significantly to the win with Guest scoring 40 points and Harrington 37.
Runners up five shots behind were Nathan Harris (36) and Carlos Garibotto (14). Harris had a good day finishing with the best stableford score of the day with 44 points.
In third spot on 74 points were Paul Bosman (8) and Graham Dean (11). Other teams to play well and figure in the vouchers that went down to 68 points were Kev Casey and Justin Nelson, Justin McCann and Brian Giblett, Jeff Geddes and Michael Casey and Paul Stewart and Rod Bright.
Golfers who deserve a mention were those who shot 40 points and more and they were Nathan Harris 44, Troy Luka who finish with two under for his 41, Rob Hawes 41 and Hayden Wren, Justin McCann and Greg Guest all on 40 points.

McCann was on fire over the front nine scoring three birdies and an eagle for a 32 off the stick and shot 37 over the back nine for a score of 69. Mitchell Luka saved his best shot of the day for the last hole when he all but holed out on the par three 18th finishing 28cms from the hole which was good enough to pick up the cash in the pro pin competition.
Other nearest to the pins were Rob Hawes, Brian Judge, Steve Hall and Troy Luka.
A two person ambrose was held on the holiday Monday (Jan 3) with a good field turning out. Winners were Les Goldspink and Peter Brazewell with a score of 61.25 nett.
Runners up were Brian Judge and Mike Saville on 61.5 and in third spot was the team of Damien Marjoram and Steve Hall on 61.75 nett ocb.
Vouchers went to Geoff Wheeler and Ross Harrington, Blake Goldspink and Hayden Wren and Dean Webb and Travis Cameron. Nearest to the pins went to Brian Judge and Mark Robinson.
Wednesday nine hole competition (Jan 5): All three place getters finished on 20 points with Wayne Morris counting out Tony Potts and Les Barnes.
Vouchers went to Kevin Hughes, Dave Thompson, Rob Hawes, Laurie Northey, Richard Mara, Dave Warren, Ross King, Craig Pugsley and Ron Phelan. Nearest to the pins winners were Graham Dean and Dave Warren.
