It was amazing that the field was large as it was, right from early morning the rain and cold winds ripped across a sodden course and with the greens already slow following the recent scarifying it made for some very tough conditions.
The winners with an amazing 77 combined points was the team of Brock Egan (+2) and Graeme Osborne (26).
Improving each week Osborne has hit a purple patch and was coming off a C grade medal win two weeks ago and is starting to get his game together.
Playing consistent golf Osborne amassed 20 points on each nine for a personal tally of 42 points. Egan also played magnificent golf shooting a round of 72 off the stick.
One point behind on 76 points was runners up Ken Mitchell (15) and Neil Hutchinson (25), another two who are lowering their handicaps.
This was a real team effort with both golfers finishing with 38 points each. Steve Hall (scr) and Andrew Burton (+2) took out the best scratch score with a score of 74 points.
Vouchers went down to those teams with 68 points and better and they were Hayden Wren and Blake Goldspink, Max Nightingale and Greg Jackson and Carlos Garibotto.
Nearest to the pins were dominated by Steve Hall and Neil Hutchinson with two each and the other went to Darren Hunter.
