The Country Kitchen and General Store owned by Anna Snow, reopened its doors on October 11, welcoming locals back to their meeting place post COVID lockdown.
Ms Snow said lockdown had been tough with loss of stock, no income and a lack of community interaction.
"We gave a lot of our stock away to people in the community and family, it was pretty tough times," she said.
"And from the last time being locked down, it was just not viable to open even if I did it by myself, you know, we just didn't have the income coming in."
But of course there was light at the end of the tunnel and Ms Snow said her first week of business was full steam ahead.
"Like it was good to have a little bit of a break for everybody but this is what we love to do and to get all the girls back and the team going and just to see everybody has been so exciting," she said.
She said the first week was overwhelming after not seeing her fellow community members.
"I hadn't seen so many people and it just went from being locked down at home to a full cafe and I think the girls were a little bit wary too, because of all the changes that have been put in place.
"Some people can be short with you if they don't like the rules but we've been pretty lucky, everybody's obliged by the rules which is good," she said.
"I found the second week of being open people are more acceptable of coming out or they've just gone and said 'Okay I think it's safe to come out now'."
Ms Snow said she was enforcing the double vaccination policy and a sergeant from Oberon Police had come in to do regular checks.
"You need to be double vaxxed to eat in. We might be a small area but we are really strict on that and it will be that way until restrictions ease in December," she said.
"We still allow people who aren't vaccinated or have one vax to come in and get takeaway but they can't sit in and eat."
Ms Snow said during lockdown she had also taken the time to revamp the cafe menu and she was excited to for patrons to try it.
"During lockdown Jacinda [Anna's daughter] actually processed it all. We went through our best sales, did some cooking at home and tried different things.
"We've got a really good drink menu too and our specials vary every week," she said.
She said she was "keen to get back to normal" and the cafe is open seven days a week from 9am-3pm.
"We're really looking forward now we're open again and the pub too. It's nice for people to come back out and and just to see the support of two little businesses in a little country town, supporting each other too which goes a long way," she said.
Ms Snow also wanted to thank her hard working staff and her loyal customers.
"I just want to thank the community for being so supportive, even when we were locked down we did a massive takeaway and it was just so well supported. I want to thank all my loyal loving customers and my brilliant team.
"I couldn't do it without the girls, they all just excel every day, they're my backbone of this business," she said.
