One of Lithgow Golf Club's major events, the Foursomes Championships was held on Sunday, October 17 and thankfully for the good field the weather was immeasurably better than the day before.
The championship was played over 27 holes with golfers playing alternate shots with the same ball and their was some close results.
The scratch champions for 2021 are the Egan brothers Tallan and Brock who set up their win with a one under par 35 over their last nine.
They finished with 114 to edge out runners up Damien Marjoram and Harry Bender who finished with 116.
It has been a good year for Marjoram who also collected the club championship earlier in the year.
The handicap title was even closer with a countback needed to determine the champions.
Finally the title went to Geoff Thompson and Ross Harrington with a score of 106.5 nett. The unlucky runners up also on 106.6 were the father and son team of Dave and Nathan Marshall.
A big thank you goes out to the girls that looked after the barbecue which was appreciated by the large field.
