The Lithgow District Chamber of Commerce is announcing the appointment of Natasha Markert as the Events and Communications Coordinator to oversee the roll-out of the business revival events program across the Lithgow LGA.

In July this year, the Chamber was awarded a $503 000 grant to host a series of high-profile events to promote local businesses, secure new investment and create jobs.
"On behalf of the Chamber, I'm pleased to announce the appointment of Natasha Markert who brings to the position a successful track record in events planning and delivery and, communications," President of the Chamber, Peter Pilbeam said.
"Natasha has worked in events, marketing and communications for over 20 years in both Western Australia and New South Wales. She's worked for Local, State and Federal Government agencies as well as for not-for-profit and corporate clients."
For the last 10 years, Natasha worked for a boutique corporate communications agency based in Sydney and the Blue Mountains, where she was involved with top advertising agencies in NSW, Australia and the Asia Pacific region producing everything from large scale TV commercials to online content. She has also worked with community groups and business leaders alike.

"I'm very much looking forward to being part of the team at the Lithgow Chamber and to working with the business community across the Region," Ms Markert said.
"Having been living in the upper Blue Mountains for almost five years, I have come to appreciate the wider region. I look forward to contributing my skills in profiling local businesses and delivering an events program that everyone will be fully proud of."
Mr Pilbeam said that everyone at the Chamber were looking forward to working with Natasha on "some defining events for the region".
"One of the first things we'll do is to introduce Natasha to various stakeholders and businesses and start the ball rolling," Mr Pilbeam said.
Natasha will be based at the Lithgow campus of the University of Western Sydney.
