The event was a versus par and it was the "early birds" that got the worm with the winners of C and B grade being in the first two groups out in the morning heading what was an excellent field.
The best handicap score of the day came out of C grade with Paul Bailey (19) carding an excellent -7 continuing his good form of late.
Runner up to Bailey on square was Rob George (19) while once again the best scratch score in C grade went to Leo Murnane (19) on 17 points.
B grade went to the Greg Guest (14) who was in the next group out and he carded a -5.
Runner up was Brian Bourke (12) who has found some good form of late and he finished with +3 ocb.
Best scratch score went to Kyle Egan (10) with 26 points.
Young Tallan Egan (6) again showed what a talent he is finishing with a +2 to count out Greg Dykes (9) and the best scratch score again went to Andrew Burton (+1) with 38 points.
Vouchers cut out on -1 and recipients were Nathan Marshall, Brad Osmotherly, Dave Hicks, Blake Goldspink, Ian Northey, Brad Gordon, Les Goldspink, Justin Nelson, Pat Wall, Brian Giblett, Brock Egan and Geoff Wheeler.
Next Saturday's event will be a single stableford.
Wednesday's nine hole competition (Sept 8):
- Winner was Richard Mara 21 points.
- Runner up was Anthony Oldfield 20 points
- Third was Michael Casey 19 points ocb.
Vouchers went down to 16 points and winners were Al Mostyn, Ross King, Kev Hughes, Rob Hawes, Wayne Clarke, Leo Murnane, John Murnane and Rick Cohen.
Friday nine hole competition (Sept 10):
- Winner was Chris Goodsell on 18 points
- Runner up on 21 points was Juan Farmer who counted out Ross King into third place.
Vouchers went to Ben Sabat, Michael Bennett, Michael Bright and Michael Casey. Vouchers cut out on 18 points.
