Lithgow residents enjoyed an unexpected snow fall on Tuesday evening and woke up to a winter wonderland on Wednesday morning.

While residents couldn't go and adventure around the region due to restrictions, most have been posting on social media about what it looks like in their own backyard.
The white out was experienced by residents in Lithgow, Blackheath, Clarence, Meadow Flat, Yetholme and Oberon.
Throughout Tuesday temperatures reached a max of 3.8 degrees at 11am, dipping down to 1.8 degrees at 3pm and the coldest temperature hit at 10pm when it was 1 degree.

Despite a chilly morning, Wednesday has fared better reaching 7.5 degrees at 1pm and temperatures continue to rise.
Thursday, August 26 is set to be partly cloudy with areas of morning frost. Slight chance of a shower in the south and light winds. Overnight temperatures falling to between minus 3 with daytime temperatures reaching between 10 and 16 degrees.
