Boys and girls of all ages have been eager to take their bikes and helmets and head down to the new park to get some exercise, be social and maybe even show off a trick or two.
Some of the comments heard from a group of younger boys at the bike track were, 'It's the best thing Lithgow City Council has ever done', 'It's so great, it gives us something to do', 'It's the best exercise ever' and 'It's good for our minds as well as really good fitness and exercise'.
On one particular day the bike park had a range of ages using the facility from little two year old Hallie Chadwick, who said she'll be three next week, and her five year-old brother Levi - to adults.

Hallie's mum said they used to travel to Leura to use the bike park facility there, so this has been a huge bonus for their family, especially now with the lockdown rules.
One local resident, Marg Doohan, who lives close to the park said that in the evening there were around 30 riders in the park.
"I think this is a fabulous, fun and healthy facility for the people of Lithgow, especially our younger kids and teenagers," she said.
"It makes me want to get a bike."
