NSW recorded 1,022 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
The latest data from NSW Health confirmed one new case in Lithgow which tested positive overnight and is being interviewed today to determine movements and risk-Household or in the community.

Chifley Police District have been notified of a number of new venues of concern at Lithgow associated with confirmed cases of COVID-19.
The venues of concern are as follows:
- Coles Supermarket, Lithgow Street, Lithgow - between 7.03pm and 7.25pm on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
- Hicks Automotive - 149 Mort Street, Lithgow - between 1.30pm and 2.00pm on Monday, September 6, 2021.
If you attended either of these locations between these times you are considered a CASUAL contact.
This means you are required to get tested and isolate until you have received a negative result. You must continue to monitor for symptoms for 14 days from the date of the exposure and get re-tested should you become symptomatic.
