"I am very grateful of the nomination, it makes me feel that what I am doing is the right thing," she said.
Of the seven categories, Ms Trouchet-Nilsson was nominated for the Ricoh Australia Customer Service Award.
Ms Trouchet-Nilsson moved to the Lithgow region five years ago and hasn't looked back since.
"I am so passionate about the area, I love it, it's great!" she said.
She moved to Little Hartley with her husband and fell in love with the open spaces and fresh air. They settled on acreage to raise their two young boys in good company of their beloved cats, dogs and horses.
She also became a volunteer member of Hartley Rural Fire Service.
"We love the country lifestyle and wanted to escape the hustle and bustle," she said.
"It's very much the country, but still a nice little town."
Her real estate agency was established five years ago and was the youngest in the region.
Being the new agent on the block, she knuckled down and stayed focused on her goal, which was to provide an honest and transparent real estate service.
Ms Trouchet-Nilsson and her company has been active in real estate since 2010 in Sydney, NSW. She started her company as a specialist agent looking at properties seconded from various financial institutions as a result of administration and liquidations.
She wanted to make the most of the situation for the creditors who often were mum and dad investors or workers/contractors.

Following her and her family's move to the Lithgow region, more specifically Little Hartley, she recognised the same need; to provide an honest and transparent real estate service.
From her own experience moving to a new area, Ms Trouchet-Nilsson loves to give a little local touch to welcome newbies.
"Our settlement gift is a mix of local products to showcase and share with new people coming to the area," she said.
"People immediately feel welcomed, because you can come here not knowing a lot.
"There's so many amazing local products, you don't need to outsource."
She was proud of how far Hartley Realty has come, with the second highest sales and highest per property sale.
However, she said it wasn't all "smooth sailing".
"There's challenges being a female, it has been known to be a men's club, especially selling rural properties," she said.
Ms Trouchet-Nilsson took pride in staying true to herself and others as she said the industry can get quite competitive.
Her advice to other women looking at a career in real estate was: "To be yourself and focus on your goals."
"Don't look at what everyone else is doing because you will lose focus on your goal; don't worry about what others think or do," she said.
Ms Trouchet-Nilsson was dedicated to supporting young women, helping them with opportunities.
She has hired an employee trainee every 18 months to give a young local a chance towards a career.
