The Australian Services Excellence Awards (ASEAs) are Australia's premier customer service awards program, attracting hundreds of nominations each year to recognise best practice, performance and innovation in customer service.
The awards are conducted by the Customer Service Institute of Australia (CSIA).
Westfund is a finalist in two categories:
- Customer Service Organisation of the Year - Medium Business, and
- Service Excellence in a Medium Contact Centre.
"As a member-owned health fund, our people go above and beyond to look after our members," Jon Goodgame, Chief Operations Officer (COO) at Westfund said.
"It feels good to receive recognition like the CSIA awards, but the real reward for us lies in helping our members when they need us.

"I'm always thrilled to hear how our Member Care team not only take the time to help our members understand the role of their health insurance, but invest the time to assist members navigate their health journey and return to good health.
"We're really proud that Westfund Health Insurance has become a national private health insurer - that's one of our great achievements."
Westfund has a long and proud Lithgow history and will forever be connected to the local area. They were founded in Lithgow, employ more than 100 local people out of almost 200 across New South Wales and Queensland and are proud to have their Head Office operations in Lithgow.
"These local staff contribute every day to our ongoing success as a growing organisation of which Lithgow can be justly proud - and they're at the heart of this piece of recognition," Mr Goodgame said.
The ASEAs are in their 21st year and with just three finalists announced in each category, Westfund is in good company.
Winners will be announced in October, and employees across Westfund's network will participate in site visits and interviews to facilitate the second round of judging.
