Central West Mums' showcase event Mumfest is returning to Orange this year and promises to be even bigger than the inaugural edition in 2019, particularly with the exciting addition of its very own awards - the Mummys.

The Central West Mummy Awards are being included in Mumfest this year to pay tribute to the both the amazing mothers in the region and also the outstanding businesses that support them in everyday life.
There will be six Mummys to be won in 2021 - Mum of the Year, Educator of the Year, Business of the Year, Hero of the Year, Angel of the Year and Garden of the Year - with nominations set to open on July 7.
"Thanks to businesses like McGrath Orange and See Saw Wines we have almost $3,000 worth of prizes to be won just by nominating yourself, someone else or by voting for a final nominee," she beamed.
"I received some amazing feedback after the last event and it re-affirmed my decision to build on it even further to include the Central West Mummy Awards."
Two years ago, Central West Mums hosted the inaugural edition of Mumfest with more than 300 women coming together to celebrate connection, friendship, community and a shared love of motherhood.
Essentially, all the values the group was initially founded on.
"Mumfest is an extension of the strong community built in a Facebook group established to support first time mums, new mums and welcome women to the Central West" Ms Zielinski said.
"Despite access to this online support group, mothers will always face financial pressures, geographical isolation and question their ability to be a good mother, whatever that is."
She went on to say she's hopeful this year's event, scheduled for Saturday, November 6 at The Greenhouse of Orange, will hep bring an addition focus to deserving individuals in the community and continue providing support.
She also explained the Mummys' six categories, and the criteria for nominations.
Mum of the Year nominees should embody the traits highly-regarded in mothers, including the strength to deal with successes and challenges.
Educator of the Year will reward an exemplary educator who is shaping the future of education practices in regional NSW.
Business of the Year is designed to reward businesses that have helped, shaped or supported the community.
Hero of the Year will put the spotlight on frontline and support workers, while Angel of the Year will do the same for volunteers making an impact in the community.
Garden of the Year will showcase beautiful and well-planned gardens.
People will be able to nominate people and vote in all six categories on Central West Mums' website in the coming days, following the Mummys' launch next week.
