In an effort to find the best that the Lithgow area has to offer, from best place to go for a walk to best hangover breakfast, the Lithgow Mercury is using the power of social media to ask the community to nominate the best of the best.
Winner:
Tease Hair Salon, Main Street.
The staff from Tease Hair Salon were overcome with excitement when presented with their award, as voted by Lithgow residents.
Hairdresser Giselle Ward, who has been at Tease for the last three years, said it was 'unreal'.
"It is such an amazing way to be recognised by the public and we are honoured to have the support of the community," she said.
"It is such a lovely environment and working here is like working with family, it is an amazing place to be."
Giselle said all the hairdressers felt really appreciative of the award and were honoured by the achievement.
Locals know best:
"We just want to thank our loving client base who trust us with all their hair needs," she said.
"We are really grateful to have such a supportive community."
Giselle said the hairdressers at Tease are busy a lot of the time, with multiple big jobs but they wouldn't have it any other way.
"I really love it, and since we have beauty upstairs it really is a one stop shop," she said.
Honourable Mentions:
Tough Grind, Sirens and Gloss Creations
