Lithgow Workies Wolves league tag player Tanya Boza stepped out on home ground for her milestone match on Sunday, June 5 against Bathurst St Pat's.
Boza has been part of the Wolves for a number of years as a supporter, committee member, player and manager. She was the founder of the Group 10 ladies wolf pack back in 2012 and has been playing ever since.
"I've been playing league tag for nine years. I formed the team for the club and it was coached by my husband Anthony and sponsored by Tania Aussell who was the owner of Purely Pole at the time," she said.
She said her 100th game was a gallant effort by her team and despite being defeated, she was honoured to play alongside her teammates.
"We didn't win but the score was no indication of the way the team played. Every player gave 110%.
"Never at any part of the game did they give up, nothing was left in their tanks by the end of it," Boza said.
"The strongest people aren't always the people that win, but that people that don't give up when they lose."
Boza said she has enjoyed her time with the club and will continue to be involved.
"I always look forward to training, the comradeship among the players and just being a support player, giving words of encouragement to team players on and off the field," she said.
She said she loved the passion of the players and their love of the game. "A huge thank you to Workies Wolves, our sponsors, the committee, coaching staff, players, referees and supporters over the years, Workies is a great family orientated club to be part of.
"Go the Wolves!"
The club also congratulated Boza on a Facebook post for her 100th game.
"Thank you for everything you have done over the years for both the league tag team and the whole club," it read.
